Roofing Inner BannerCan your roof be repaired or is replacement required?

If your home’s roof has been damaged by a storm or if portions of your roof are seriously worn and weathered, you may be wondering if it can be repaired or does it need to be entirely replaced.

We have found that many of the Poconos and Lehigh Valley roofs we examine can be fixed with some repair work without having to replace the entire roofing system.  And even if that is not the case, we can do some inexpensive temporary repairs to allow more time to do a full roof replacement.

If your roof does not have too many issues from damage or age, we can make repairs that will restore your roof’s protective qualities – extending the life of the roof for several additional years. As a trusted Poconos and Lehigh Valley roofing contractor, we will always explain the pros and cons of this option to you.  However, we don’t recommend that you make patchwork repairs if doing so will only lead to additional and perhaps more severe problems in the future.

Our expert roofers can make the correct repair.

If your roof should begin to leak from storm damage as a result of high winds, driving rain, heavy snow, ice build up, falling trees or utility poles, you probably can’t wait for a sunny day to fix the problem.  Because of the risks involved and the complexity of a properly designed roofing system its not a good idea to attempt repairs yourself.  Neither is it a good idea to hire a contractor who is not certified, licensed or adequately insured.   To protect yourself and our home, call the experts from Master’s Construction. We’ve been repairing roofs for many years.  We have the experience and equipment to get the job done quickly and properly.

We Prevent Small Problems From Getting Big

The pros at Master’s can make immediate, short-term roof repairs to quickly fix structural damage thereby preventing further damage from wind, rain or snow to your home and its contents. Once that stop-gap measure is taken, we will evaluate the situation to confirm whether or not more permanent repairs are required. Another important thing we will do for you is document the damage for you to file with your insurance claim if necessary.

We Recommend Not Waiting If You See Or Suspect A Problem

Delaying repairs to a damaged roof, chimney or gutters is not a good idea.  It can be a time bomb waiting to go off, as further damage will likely result from water, mold and mildew as well as from potential bird, animal and insect infestation.  When exposed to the elements, your roofing components can quickly deteriorate, endangering rafters, sheetrock or plaster, sheathing, insulation and, possibly even your walls and ceilings. If rain water gets down into your walls it can damage wiring, electrical outlets and switches which could result in electrical fires.

Our Inspectors Can Spot Problems That Are Not Always Obvious

In some cases, it can take many months for water damage from a damaged roof to become obvious from within your house.  Therefore, fixing the problem as soon as possible is the best way to prevent further damage and avoid much more costly repairs than you would incur if inspections – and any needed repairs – are done promptly.

So keep in mind that nipping things in the bud can save you a LOT of money and eliminate big problems when storm damage seriously compromises the integrity of your home.  The experts at Master’s Construction will be there for you when disaster strikes, ready to restore your home to a safe dry condition.
